Independent Advice and Assurance Panel (IAAP) for Restoration and Renewal (R&R)
The Independent Advice and Assurance Panel (IAAP) is a panel set up to provide independent advice and assurance to the Commissions of both Houses of Parliament regarding the governance, strategy, and delivery of the Restoration and Renewal (R&R) concerning the restoration and renewal of the Palace of Westminster.
The panel consists of independent expert to reviews the programme's progress, costed proposals, and strategic options, providing recommendations to the R&R Client Board. It has reviewed the down-selection of options for the programme, the sustainability of the current status quo, and the need for a comprehensive, large-scale programme. Reports from the IAAP are produced to guide major strategic decisions and are often published alongside costed proposals.
