UK Construction Week announces over 25 key partnerships
UK Construction Week London has secured key partnerships with over 25 trade bodies and associations ahead of its event at Excel London (May 12th-14th), including the Federation of Master Builders, CIBSE (Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers) and the Carbon Trust.
Other UKCW partners already confirmed include The Rooflight Association, the National Association Of Air Duct-Cleaners UK, the National Federation of Demolition Contractors, and leading social mobility charity, Futures For All.
Sponsored by Wyre, HotelPlanner, Zurich Resilience Solutions and Build Warranty, UK Construction Week is the sector’s most valuable, innovation-led, and commercially focused event in the UK.
UKCW London recently announced that the event in May will see a collaborative co-location with Futurebuild, creating the UK's largest event uniting the entire built environment, where every stage of a project gets decided.
Bringing together construction leaders, innovators and decision makers, the three-day event, which will also be co-located with The Stone & Surfaces Show, is a platform to connect, buy and collaborate, to shape the future built environment.
Brian Berry, FMB CEO, said: “UK Construction Week is always a highlight in the FMB's calendar, and it’s fantastic to be showcasing the FMB's commitment to quality and professionalism. It’s the ideal platform to champion our Licence to Build campaign, connect with industry partners - and help homeowners understand the importance of choosing vetted, trusted builders.”
Dr Anastasia Mylona, CIBSE Technical Director, commented: “UK Construction Week provides an important platform to share practical, evidence-based guidance with the wider industry.
“We’re pleased to be contributing again this year, with planned sessions on the UK Net Zero Carbon Buildings Standard and CIBSE’s new Domestic Heating Design Guide. Both reflect CIBSE’s ongoing commitment to supporting the transition to low-carbon, high-performing buildings by turning technical knowledge into real-world application.”
Adrian Corrigan, NFDC President, said: “UK Construction Week is an established industry forum for the NFDC to champion the demolition sector’s role at the very start of the construction lifecycle. It allows us to engage directly with industry peers, policymakers and innovators, share best practice, and reinforce our commitment to safety, skills, sustainability and collaboration across the built environment.”
Peter Reid - FIC, President of NAADUK, added: “We are delighted to be involved in UK Construction Week as the official HVAC Partner because it’s a brilliant platform to connect with the industry, share practical solutions, and help raise standards across ventilation, air conditioning and indoor air quality.
“UK Construction Week is a standout industry event that brings the whole built-environment supply chain together - so it's the perfect place to connect with the industry.”
Jess Hart, Business Development Manager at Futures For All, said: “UK Construction Week remains a key moment in the sector’s calendar. For us, it’s an important opportunity to learn about developments across construction and to connect with organisations of all sizes to understand how they’re engaging young people to help address the sector’s skills and talent challenges.”
Sam Patel, Divisional Director, Construction, commented: “Networking is an increasingly important part of UKCW, and alongside the CPD-accredited seminars, is one of the biggest draws for visitors, so having so many of the sector’s key organisations on board as partners means we can deliver even more engaging content and help visitors make those vital connections they seek out at the show.”
Opened by architect and Channel 4 presenter George Clarke, UKCW London attracts over 18,000 visitors, making it the largest construction trade show in the capital.
