Calendar
In its broadest sense, a calendar is a document or application showing time periods such as days, weeks, and months, on which activities or events can be recorded or planned.
Calendars may be used on construction projects to programme activities such as meetings.
The CIOB Planning Protocol 2021 (CIOB PP21), a technical information sheet published by the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) in February 2021, suggests that a calendar is: ‘…assigned to activities within the planning software to define working periods and non-working periods such as holidays and weekends. A project or programme may contain many calendars each with different working and non-working periods.’
