Address
The word address can refer to:
- The delivery of a speech to an audience.
- Focussing attention on a particular issue.
- A postal address.
- A website address or URL (Uniform Resource Locator)
The Geospatial Glossary, published by the Geospatial Commission, and accessed on 17 September 2022, defines an address as: ‘Structured information that allows the unambiguous determination of an object for purposes of identification and location.’
It defines an addressable object as a: 'Spatial object type which can have instances to which it is meaningful to associate addresses.'
