BSRIA World Building Automation and Control Systems 2022
Building automation and control systems (BACS) countries covered since 2019: Blue = individual country report, green = regional report on Scandinavia, red = regional report on South East Asia. |
Most building automation and control systems (BACS) markets experienced an increase in demand in 2021, but also problems in the supply chain and a surge in material prices. Recovery varies across countries, depending on the fall experienced in 2020, vaccination uptake rates, the economic recovery, and technical, social and geographic factors. While some verticals have been severely hit, others grew due to new opportunities.
BSRIA’s 2022 World BACS study covers Canada, USA, Mexico, Germany, Netherlands, the Nordics, India and Southeast Asia, which adds to the annual country rotations, investigating the impact of the factors above, establishing current market sizes, trends and drivers and shares of software, hardware, DDC, room and field level controllers. It is scheduled for publication in February 2022.
The study provides market forecasts assessments of key trends, such as the growing importance of software and analytics, convergence and integration of building services, the uptake of IP, the trend towards more generic and freely programmable controllers and the impact of the Internet of Things. The study also shows how established suppliers are faring in response to the challenge of those trying to penetrate or gain share in these markets.
Country reports are available individually or as a package. A World Excel Overview is also available, including data for 20 countries and estimates for the rest of the world, providing a tool for making quick comparisons across data for different countries.
