Mobile asphalt stations
Contents |
[edit] Introduction
A mobile asphalt station may be useful for small and medium scale construction projects. They are built to be portable, so they can be convenient to transport. Consequently, they are well suited for road construction.
[edit] Types of mobile asphalt stations
There are two main kinds of mobile asphalt plants: drum mix plants and batch mix plants.
[edit] Batch mix plants
This device can produce asphalt every 40 to 50 seconds. Some of its advantages include a range of configurations and sizes, in both mobile and stationary forms and flexible production options.
[edit] Drum mix plants
Drum mix plants are mainly available in their mobile form and are more portable than batch mix plants. All of the processes are completed in one single drum. Some of its other benefits include ease of setup and use, short production times, lower power requirements and easy to dismantle and move.
