Passive House Planning Package PHPP
The Passive House Planning Package (PHPP) is an energy balance and planning tool for efficient buildings and refurbishments according to the Passivhaus standard for the use of architects, planning experts and Passivhaus consultants.
The current version PHPP 10 is available in excel format, with improved simplicity look and an online flipbook, it has several new features with a few new worksheets were added and the addition of new external tools to facilitate data entry with secondary calculations.
The tool is tried and tested by the Passivhaus institute and many users world wide, the Passive House Planning Package (PHPP) provides reliable results for the following information:
- Heating demand per year [kWh/(m²a)] and maximum heating load [W/m²]
- Cooling demand per year [kWh/(m²a)] and maximum cooling load [W/m²]
- (in case of active cooling)
- Summer comfort in case of passive cooling: frequency of overheating [%]
- Demand for renewable primary energy (PER) per year and primary energy demand (PE) of all energy services in the entire building [kWh/(m²a)]
- Assessment of the annual renewable energy gains [kWh/(m²ground a)]
