Safety as a Service
Safety as a Service (also known as Safety aaS or Safe aaS) is a term used to describe a subscription based approach to services associated with safety where the end user can determine the level of service being provided.
As with other “as a service” offerings (such as Software as a Service or Drones as a Service), Safety as a Service reduces the end user’s need to make a permanent investment in products or services since the provider makes those investments instead. It also means the end user does not have to train their own personnel.
Using Safety as a Service typically involves paying a fee on a regular basis for the level of service that the end user needs. It can also be helpful when data collection and verification is required (due to the types of potential safety issues that could occur).
Examples of Safety as a Service applications include:
- Hand-arm vibration (HAV) syndrome management.
- Road safety for fleet management.
