Driving a digital first transformation as BSRIA hires new Chief Technology Officer
BSRIA, a leading provider of registered testing, research, and consultancy services to the construction and building services industry, has appointed Paul Greatbatch as Chief Technology Officer (CTO).
This strategic move will accelerate the organisation's tech transformation, driving innovation across its market intelligence, consultancy, and technical capabilities. This marks BSRIA's ongoing shift from analogue to digital operations, putting the organisation ahead of industry change.
Greatbatch will overhaul BSRIA's offerings, namely around its market insight capabilities, and digitisation of products, while driving AI-enabled technologies within the business.
This ensures the company remains the go-to authority for building services professionals and manufacturers, while BSRIA's digital transformation broadens its customer base and improves its service offerings.
The digitisation of BSRIA's operations will also enhance the company's industry-wide training programmes, providing improved and more accessible upskilling and development opportunities to building services engineers, carried out by BSRIA experts.
This comes at a critical time for the building services industry, with more than 140,000 construction vacancies currently unfilled.
Lisa Ashworth, BSRIA, CEO, commented, "Paul's expertise will be instrumental as we accelerate our tech transformation and drive growth across existing and new markets. We're ensuring those in the building services sector can make better decisions to cope with a rapidly changing world."
Commenting on his new role, Greatbatch said, "What attracted me to BSRIA is the opportunity to make a real impact and develop and shape its product suite. What this is all about is making it easier for people to design, build and maintain better buildings."
This announcement follows other strategic appointments, including Lisa Wiltshire's appointment as Head of Market Intelligence, with a remit to advance BSRIA's expertise in AI tools, data science, skills and Data-as-a-Service (DaaS) solutions, as well as a new Beijing office, further cementing its global reach.
