BREEAM and Tracker Plus
Southfacing and BRE are continuing their long term collaboration with recognised software tools that provide assessors and clients with greater efficiencies in the way they assess and certify the sustainability performance of assets using BREEAM.
In February 2017, the collaboration resulted in the first online dynamic syncing of assessment data between the Tracker Plus and BRE’s BREEAM Projects . This enables an assessor, through Tracker Plus, to manage the whole assessment process seamlessly, from pre-assessment through to final submission to BRE Global for certification.
BREEAM UK Refurbishment & Fit-out 2014 is the first scheme to go live with the blueprint set for future schemes.
Ben Cartmell, Director, Southfacing, siad;' "Tracker Plus can now synchronise its assessment project management directly with submissions via BREEAM Projects the process is seamless and more efficient for all”.
TrackerPlus holds BREEAM ‘Recognised Software’ status and has been popular with assessors and design teams for a number of years. Deepening its integration with BREEAM Projects, was an obvious decision for BRE, who say that users are already interacting with BREEAM Projects via TrackerPlus and the feedback received so far is very positive.
Tim Bevan, Director of BREEAM Operations, BRE, said; “We are all very excited. Collaboration and digital solutions are key enablers in the BRE mission to build a better world and this solution will deliver efficiencies for Tracker Plus users, clients and stakeholders involved in the assessment process”.
A key priority of the BREEAM team is to support assessors, clients and stakeholders throughout the assessment and certification process, to make it as efficient as possible.
Through its operation and development, BRE actively seek and encourage cross-industry collaboration for the betterment of BREEAM. This collaboration comes in many forms, as well as digitally through recognition of third party software such as TrackerPlus, a tie-up with the International WELL Building Institute™ (IWBI™) to promote health and wellbeing in buildings, and work with a range of industry stakeholders on a new Strategic Ecology Framework.
