Adaptive management

Groynes in coastal engineering (CIRIA C793), published by CIRIA in 2020, defines adaptive management as: ‘A structured decision-making method, the core of which is a multi-step iterative process for adjusting management actions to changing circumstances or new information about the effectiveness of the projects or systems being managed’.
