[edit] Professionalism in a world of increasing uncertainty and complexity
APM’s annual conference is a highlight of the project profession’s calendar. This year’s event will explore how project and programme professionals must change the way they work to succeed in a world of increasing uncertainty and complexity.
[edit] The event will take place in Birmingham on Thursday, 8 June
PA Consulting is sponsoring a panel discussion on the topic of projects as drivers of social benefits. It will examine how the successful delivery of projects can lead to tangible benefits that make a real difference to us all. Recognising that the world is becoming ever more Volatile, Uncertain, Complex and Ambiguous (VUCA) and funding is becoming more constrained, only highlights the importance of demonstrating a positive impact on the world.
To facilitate this discussion, there will be a panel of senior practitioners and stakeholders to give their views, spark debate, and answer questions.

Paul Bradley from PA Consulting said: “We fully support the vison that the project delivery community can make a massive contribution to a cleaner, safer, more prosperous, and inclusive society. By overcoming strategic, cultural, and operational barriers we believe projects can drive real beneficial societal change.
“At PA Consulting as a Corporate Member of the APM, we are at the forefront of developing excellence in project and programme delivery.
“We actively support our people to achieve personal success in developing their skills to meet the ever-increasing challenges of project delivery in VUCA environments. Our partnership with APM, which includes championing the attainment of accredited Chartership status, is pivotal to that endeavour.”
Kate Ferrier, Event Sponsorship and Sales Manager at APM, said: “We’re pleased that PA Consulting is sponsoring this year’s event. As a Corporate Partner of APM and a highly active organisation within the project community, PA Consulting has a strong understanding of the challenges and opportunities relevant to the profession, and the issues project experts want to hear about. We’re greatly looking forward to their sponsored session, and the wider Change Changes programme.”
