Adapt
Anticipate, react, recover; Resilient infrastructure systems, published by the National Infrastructure Commission in May 2020, defines adapt as: ‘The actions that change the system to enable it to continue to deliver services, for example using storage in the electricity system to support renewable generation.’
It defines an adaptive approach as: ‘A strategy, process, or intervention designed to be changed over time as new information becomes available or as the situation changes.’
