Guide to Controls (BG 83/2023) written by John Marrow and published by BSRIA in June 2023, in relation to security tracking it states: ‘…the introduction of a BMS (Building Management System) onto a corporate network means there is a greater possibility for it to be used to access and disrupt other business critical systems. This can come from user activity or from external software breaching the corporate network. The BMS should have user tracking capabilities, which means it would be able to report the users who log onto the BMS and also provide a history of their activities whilst using it.’
