Downlighter
The Illustrated Guide to Electrical Building Services, Third Edition (BG 32/2014), by David Bleicher & Peter Tse, published by BSRIA in 2014, states; ‘Downlighters come in a range of types and can incorporate a variety of lamps including metal halide, compact fluorescent, tungsten halogen and LED lamps. Downlighters are frequently selected according to their ability to create a patch of light as a visual effect, and are therefore usually not suitable for general lighting.'
