BSi Built Environment Competence Hub
In November 2026 CLC and BSi announced the launch of the Built Environment Competence Hub. The Industry Competence Steering Group, in collaboration with the British Standards Institution, aim to launch the Built Environment Competence Hub, as a central space for professionals to access the latest competence frameworks, standards and practical guidance, in one trusted location. The Hub, to be launched in January 2026 is designed for all those working in the built environment sector, including designers, contractors, regulators and anyone involved in competence development or oversight.
This hub is managed by BSI, developed in collaboration with ICSG to bring industry together to engage on competence and share best practice. Find all the key resources, standards, tools, guidance and competence frameworks you need, in one place. Bsi says 'This hub is your central space for everything related to competence in the built environment in the UK. From practical resources and competence frameworks to the latest insights and guidance, it helps professionals and organisations understand and access what they need to strengthen competence at every level. Developed by BSI in collaboration with the Industry Competence Steering Group (ICSG), the hub aims to simplify a complex competence landscape by bringing trusted knowledge and resources together in one accessible place, making it easy for every member to find what matters most to them.'
In December 2025, Bsi and CIC further announced that professionals could sign up for early access be among the first to explore the hub, stay informed about regulatory changes, access curated tools and resources; and help shape the future of competence.
