Asbestos Legal Requirements And Best Practice For Property Professionals And Clients, 4th Edition, published by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) in May 2021, defines an asbestos survey as: ‘The process of surveying a property for asbestos containing materials. Different levels of asbestos survey are available’
It describes a management survey as: 'A type of asbestos survey undertaken to ensure asbestos containing materials that may be disturbed during the normal day-to-day management of a property have been identified.'
