Emergency response pack
Code of Practice for the Provision of Premises Information Boxes in Residential Buildings, Version 1, published in December 2020 by the Fire Industry Association (FIA) and the National Fire Chiefs Council (NFCC), defines an Emergency Response Pack (ERP) as: ‘A package of information containing plans and building information and residents, of importance to the fire and rescue service on attendance at a block of flats in the event of fire or other emergency.’
It suggests an Emergency Response Pack should include:
- Log book
- Off The Run
- Orientation Plan
- Fire & Rescue Service on Arrival Information
- Building layout plans
- Fire-fighting facilities /controls location plan
- Personal Rescue Emergency Plans
- Significant fire safety issues
- Description of current fire evacuation strategy
