Drift eliminator
Legionnaires' Disease - Operation and Maintenance Log Book (BG 58/2015), written by Reginald Brown and Salim Deramchi, and published by BSRIA in May 2015, defines drift as: ‘Circulating water lost from a cooling tower as liquid droplets entrained in the exhaust air stream.’
It defines drift eliminator as: ‘Equipment containing a complex system of baffles designed to remove water droplets from cooling tower air passing through it. More correctly referred to as drift reducer or minimiser.’
