Exhaust air vs extract air
Illustrated Guide to Mechanical Cooling (BG 1/2010), written by Kevin Pennycook and published by BSRIA in 2010, defines exhaust air as: ‘Air which is exhausted to atmosphere.’
This is as opposed to extract air, which it defines as: ‘Stale air removed from a space. Some of this air may be re-circulated and some exhausted.’
