Claims investigator
Claim investigators works for insurance companies to investigate, evidence and guarantee the fair handling of insurance claims, from both sides.
The Get It Right Initiative (GIRI) in 2024 published 'The GIRI Insurance Guide: A perspective on risk management for construction projects' describes a claims investigator as someone who 'examines claims and goes through all the available information, including contacting contractors, interviewing individuals and visiting site, to establish whether a claim is legitimate.'
