Bone
The term 'bone' commonly refers to a rigid structure that constitutes part of the vertebrate skeleton in animals.
However, Groynes in coastal engineering (CIRIA C793), published by CIRIA in 2020, defines bone as the: ‘Gradient, slope of a section of groyne.’
