An invitation-only event in celebration of the second year of Designing Buildings Wiki.
11 June 2014. 71 Newman Street. London.
Why the future success of the construction industry requires better integration and greater openness.
Julian Barwick, Executive Director at Development Securities, will give a short talk about the changing nature of development and the need for closer collaboration and better understanding throughout the supply chain.
Dr Gregor Harvie, Development Director at Designing Buildings Wiki, will discuss the future of construction industry knowledge, proposing that if knowledge is to be disseminated effectively, it needs to be accessible, shareable and useable by a global audience across multiple platforms.
Followed by a short Q&A to throw open the debate, and then a drinks reception.
The event will be hosted by Buro Happold and will be attended by representatives of the Chartered Institute of Building, BRE, Development Securities PLC, Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners and many more.
