Y network
High Speed Rail (Crewe – Manchester) Environmental Statement, Glossary, abbreviations and references, published by the Department for Transport in 2022, defines the Y network as the: ‘Proposed network comprising a high speed rail line between London and the West Midlands, then splitting into two lines, one continuing to Manchester and the other to Leeds via the East Midlands.’
