Crossover
Urban Design Guidelines for Victoria, published by the State of Victoria (Australia) in 2016, defines a crossover (or vehicle crossover) as: ‘Part of a pedestrian path where motor vehicles cross to access a property. The pedestrian path section may be raised to path level to alert drivers to the crossing, or the path may be dropped to form a ramp for pedestrians.’
Crossover can also refer to the transfer of something to a different field.
