Variable gas cushion expansion vessel
Pressurisation of Closed Heating and Cooling Systems (BG82 2022), by Rob Clemson, published by BSRIA in October 2022, defines a variable gas cushion expansion vessel as: ‘An expansion vessel which monitors the pressure of the gas cushion and allows it
to be vented or recharged as the system water expands and contracts.’
