Automat
Pressurisation of Closed Heating and Cooling Systems (BG82 2022), by Rob Clemson, published by BSRIA in October 2022, defines automat as: ‘An automated dynamic pressure maintenance system, generally comprising either a variable gas cushion expansion vessel or a pumped sealed spill-and-fill set.’
A pumped sealed spill-and-fill set is: 'A type of automat which stores expanded water in a sealed bladder at
atmospheric pressure.'
