Noise barrier
A noise barrier is a solid construction that reduces unwanted sound, for example from a road or railway.
Noise barriers can take many forms, including:
- Engineering cuttings.
- Retaining walls.
- Noise fence barriers.
- Landscape earthworks.
- Low level barriers on a viaduct.
- Parapet barriers on a viaduct.
- Any combination of the above measures.
