Reduced pressure zone valve
The Illustrated Guide to Hot and Cold Water Services (BG 33/2014), written by Reginald Brown and published by BSRIA in 2014, it suggests that a reduced pressure zone valve (RPZ valve) is: ‘Located downstream of the cold and/or hot water riser in high rise apartments and in certain commercial applications for backflow prevention. Each manufacturer has a different design.’
