Re-circulation air
Illustrated Guide to Mechanical Cooling (BG 1/2010), written by Kevin Pennycook and published by BSRIA in 2010, states in relation to re-circulation air: ‘Often more air is required to heat or cool than is needed to provide ventilation. The excess can sometimes be re-circulated providing a very effective method of energy recovery. Re-circulation may not be possible when the air is contaminated with dangerous or unpleasant pollutants such as cigarette smoke.’
