Security Overlay to the RIBA Plan of Work, published by the RIBA in 2023, states: ‘NPSA (National Protective Security Authority) is the UK government’s National Technical Authority for physical and personnel protective security. They produce advice and guidance (available on their website) and also have advisers and other specialists who may be involved in providing direct advice to projects where there could be an increased risk from terrorism or other national security threats. NPSA also provides advice on the management of sensitive information relating to physical assets.’
