Detergent
BG 29/2021 Pre-Commission Cleaning of Pipework Systems, Amended 6th edition, written by Chris Parsloe and Martin Ronceray, published by BSRIA in partnership with the Closed Systems Control Association (CSCA) in March 2021, defines a detergent as: ‘A synthetic cleansing agent resembling soap in the ability to emulsify oil and hold dirt, and containing one or more surfactants that do not precipitate in hard water.’
