Passivator
BG 29/2021 Pre-Commission Cleaning of Pipework Systems, Amended 6th edition, written by Chris Parsloe and Martin Ronceray, published by BSRIA in partnership with the Closed Systems Control Association (CSCA) in March 2021, defines a passivator as: ‘A compound that renders the “active” surface of metals “passive” meaning less prone to corrosion. Every passivator is an inhibitor.’
