Ventilation opening
Approved Document F Volume 1, 2021 edition, defines a ventilation opening as: ‘Any means of purpose-provided ventilation (whether permanent or closable) that opens directly to external air, such as the openable parts of a window, a louvre or a background ventilator. It also includes any door that opens directly to external air.’
