Purpose-provided ventilation
Approved Document F Volume 1, 2021 edition, defines purpose-provided ventilation as: ‘That part of the ventilation of a building provided by ventilation devices designed into the building (e.g. background ventilators, PSV (passive stack ventilation), extract fans, mechanical ventilation or air-conditioning systems).’
