Airborne sound insulation
Approved document E: Resistance to the passage of sound, 2003 edition incorporating 2004, 2010, 2013 and 2015 amendments, defines airborne sound as: ‘Sound propagating through the air.’
It defines airborne sound insulation as: ‘Sound insulation that reduces transmission of airborne sound between buildings or parts of buildings.’
