Residential care building
The Scottish Building Standards, Part I. Technical Handbook – Domestic, Appendix A Defined Terms, suggests that residential care building means:
‘…a building used, or to be used, for the provision of:
- a care home service or
- a school care accommodation service
and for these purposes the expressions mentioned in sub-paragraphs a) and b) above have the same meaning as in the Regulation of Care (Scotland) Act 2001.’
