Net positive suction head
Pressurisation of Closed Heating and Cooling Systems (BG82 2022), by Rob Clemson, published by BSRIA in October 2022, defines net positive suction head (NPSH) as: ‘The positive pressure on the suction side of a circulating pump. In general, sufficient NPSH is required to prevent cavitation and instability.’
