MedicAir air purification technology
MedicAir is a UK-based company that manufactures medical grade air purification technology. Having developed MedicAir in 2019 for the dental profession, the company increased production to support construction and other businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic.
MedicAir Air Purifier 2021 aims to eliminate invisible contaminants through a five-stage filtration process that includes a HEPA H13 mesh fibre, followed by an odour-removing carbon filter and finally a virus-killing 24w UVC bulb. All of this is achieved with the same power as a standard fan - just 60w through any suitable plug socket - and operates with minimum noise.
An on-screen display shows everything from air quality levels to relative humidity and room temperature. On-board laser sensors constantly monitor the quality of the air, detecting increases in contamination and activating the unit’s motors accordingly.
The antimicrobial coated HEPA-13 filters only need changing approximately once a year, which can be done simply with no engineer required.
