Local access forums
High Speed Rail (Crewe – Manchester) Environmental Statement, Glossary, abbreviations and references, published by the Department for Transport in 2022, states local access forums were: ‘Set up under the Countryside and Rights of Way Act 2000 to advise local highway or national park authorities on the improvement of public access for the purpose of outdoor recreation and enjoyment of the area.’
