Kiln-formed glass

Stained Glass Windows: Managing Environmental Deterioration, published by Historic England in 2020, defines kiln-formed glass as: ‘Modern sheet glass that has been heated in a kiln over a mould to echo the texture of stained glass.’

Kiln-distorted glass is: ‘Modern sheet glass that has been slightly deformed in a kiln to imitate the irregular reflections of traditional cylinder glass.’
