Computer vision
The 'CIOB Artificial Intelligence (AI) Playbook 2024', glossary of terms, published by the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) describes computer vision as focussing on 'programming computer systems to interpret and understand images, videos and other visual inputs and take actions or make recommendations based on that information. Applications include object recognition, facial recognition, medical imaging analysis, navigation and video surveillance.'
