Guide to energy retrofit of traditional buildings, published by Historic Environment Scotland in November 2021, suggests that cellulose insulation is: ‘Formed of cellulose fibre commonly derived from recycled newspapers. It can either be used blown into cavities, laid as loose fill or applied directly to a wall through damp spraying.’
