Legionnaires' Disease - Operation and Maintenance Log Book (BG 58/2015), written by Reginald Brown and Salim Deramchi, and published by BSRIA in May 2015, defines blow-down as: ‘The draining of a quantity of water from a cooling tower system, and its replacement with clean water, to reduce the level of total dissolved solids (TDS).’
