Vehicle-kilometres of travel
Resource Efficiency and Climate Change, Material Efficiency Strategies for a Low-Carbon Future, published by the UN Environment Programme in 2020, defines vehicle-kilometres of travel (VKT) as: ‘A measurement of the total distance traveled by vehicles in a given area over a specified period.’
