Use stage embodied carbon
Zero carbon building, Performance standard, Version 2, Published by the Canada Green Building Council in March 2021, defines use stage embodied carbon as: ‘The embodied carbon emissions associated with materials and processes needed to maintain the building during use such as for refurbishments (stages B1-5). These are additional to operational carbon emissions.’
