Spending objectives
Guide to developing the project business case, Better business cases: for better outcomes, published by HM Treasury in 2018, defines spending objectives as: ‘The ‘targeted’ outcomes for the scheme, which reflect the rationale for the intervention and must be made SMART for the purposes of evaluation. Occasionally referred to as the investment objectives for the scheme.’
