Renewable energy certificate
Zero carbon building, Performance standard, Version 2, Published by the Canada Green Building Council in March 2021, defines a renewable energy certificate (REC) as: ‘An authorized electronic or paper representation of the environmental attributes associated with the generation of 1 MWh of renewable energy.’
