Purpose built flat
English Housing Survey, Headline Report, 2020-21, published by the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities in 2021, defines a purpose built flat, low rise as: ‘a flat in a purpose built block less than six storeys high. Includes cases where there is only one flat with independent access in a building which is also used for non-domestic purposes.’
And a purpose built flat, high rise as: ‘a flat in a purpose built block of at least six storeys high.’
