Parametric estimating
Should cost modelling, Development Guidance, Version 1.0, published by Government Commercial Function in May 2021 states: ‘This is a statistical technique that uses historical data relating to key cost drivers to provide an estimation of what cost might be under different conditions (e.g. using square footage from previous projects to provide a parameter that can be flexed to scale up or down for future, differently sized, projects).’
